Pollinator Meadow

Graphics for project in State College, PA. This design aims to establish a rich, dense layer of initial foliage that gradually reveals the site’s full beauty upon entry from the northern end, through the tallgrass prairie. On the southern end, the natural slope of the terrain highlights the site’s grandeur, guiding visitors toward the central area, where the eco-lawn is located. From this focal point, the site can be appreciated from all angles, offering a comprehensive view of its landscape. A mowed grass path winds through the mesic and prairie meadows, giving visitors a more intimate experience of the site’s grandeur. The trails are carefully routed to avoid the rain meadow, preserving its delicate soil structure and minimizing disruption to the ecosystem. The design creates a harmonious balance between visual appeal and ecological sensitivity, ensuring that visitors experience the site in a way that respects its natural contours while fostering a deep, immersive connection with the landscape.

Also accompanied with a technical planting plan and palette for the entire site.
